Notes: Gallery August West is excited to present this original second printing of Victor Moscoso’s Neon Rose #2.

Neon Rose #2 was one of Moscoso’s earliest and most electric experiments in optical intensity. The undulating turquoise bands radiate outward in rhythmic waves, framing the central figure in a way that feels almost sonic, as though the music itself were bending the space around her. The saturated pink-orange figure seems to hover and pulse against the cool ground, creating that unmistakable Moscoso push-pull effect that makes the image feel alive.

First printings of NR-2 are genuinely scarce and command significant premiums when they surface, placing them out of reach for many collectors. Second printings, while still rare in their own right, represent a far more attainable path to owning one of the foundational images in the Neon Rose series — preserving the same bold composition and chromatic intensity at a more approachable level.

As one of the earliest and most recognizable designs in the run, NR-2 captures Moscoso at his most daring — fearless with color, revolutionary in composition, and entirely unconcerned with conventional readability. On the wall, it truly radiates.
